It's the situation every driver dreads - returning to your car after a day out and seeing a traffic warden poised to issue a ticket.
But Coleen Rooney was in the nick of time today as she managed to avoid being given a ticket after parking in a restricted zone while taking son Kai out shopping for the day.
Having missed the sign which stated she had parked in a pedestrian no loading zone, Coleen quickly explained to the warden who then enjoyed a joke with the star before heading on her way.
Casually dressed in a pair of jeans, a grey hooded sweatshirt and a pair of trainers, Coleen took one-year-old Kai around the shops in Wilmslow.
Treating Kai to a few Mr Men books in Waterstone's, Coleen then headed to the bank before returning to her car - her £100,000 black Overfinch Range Rover.
Getting a parking ticket may have been the last straw for Coleen, whose husband Wayne is in the news again after Helen Wood, the vice girl he is claimed to have slept with, launched a court battle in a bid to reveal the identity of a married actor she slept with.
Wood claimed last year she took part in a seedy liaison with the England footballer at a five-star hotel in Manchester while Coleen was pregnant.
She told how the England and Manchester United striker paid £1,200 for a night with her and her 21-year-old friend Jennifer 'Juci Jeni' Thompson.
Both girls also issued public apologies to Coleen, who was five months pregnant with their son Kai at the time of the encounter.
And it seems having her love life in the news again has taken its toll on Coleen, who looked remarkably casual compared to previous stylish outfits and kept her eyes hidden behind dark sunglasses.
However, Rooney decided to ignore the stories and stepped out looking confident at the launch of Bristol Audi centre.
