Frank Lampard dumps new girl as fans taunt him over his kids

Love-split football star Frank Lampard has dumped new girlfriend Saskia Boxford – telling friends she was too “high maintenance”.

The news comes after Lampard ran the gauntlet of fans yesterday over his break-up with fiancée Elen Rives, the mother of his two young children.

West Ham supporters chanted: “You let your children down!” and booed Chelsea ace Lampard, 30, every time he touched the ball.

The jeers reached fever pitch in the second half when Salomon Kalou scored Chelsea’s 55th-minute winner.

Lampard and team-mate John Terry were pelted with missiles as they celebrated in front of West Ham’s Bobby Moore stand.

Earlier this week Lampard – who went on a string of dates with Saskia, 23, after separating from Elen – told the millionaire’s daughter their relationship was over. He’d taken her on a string of dates after splitting with Elen and his friends say she’d become too “clingy”.

A friend of the England midfielder said: “She was expecting too much too soon and Frank wasn’t prepared to have another full-on relationship so soon after Elen.” Lampard had been seen with Saskia at Kensington restaurant Koi and nightclub Boujis in the past few months.

Saskia was also alongside the WAGs, including Victoria Beckham and Abbey Clancy, at England’s match against Ukraine at Wembley.

Yesterday West Ham fans – who have never forgiven Lampard for leaving them to join Chelsea in 2001 seized on Friday’s dramatic phone-in row – when the footballer called LBC radio to defend himself over his separation from Elen – to taunt him.

Spanish beauty Elen told how she was living in a small flat with their two children while £120,000-a-week Lampard was using their £8.5million townhouse as a bachelor pad.

But angry Lampard hit back, calling the talk show to insist it was Elen who had decided to move out. He said: “The hardest part of this whole break-up is not waking up with my kids every day. It breaks my heart – do you think I’m happy?”

He insisted Elen and their children – Luna, three, and Isla, one – were only staying in a flat temporarily before moving to a house “of equal standard, if not more, to mine”.

A source close to Lampard said he blames Elen for delaying choosing a better home, and was “incandescent with rage” over her comments.

Meanwhile, friends of former air hostess Elen fear she is “on the edge” over the split, which we revealed in February. Elen, 34, has told one pal she is suffering from extreme stress as she struggles to come to terms with it.

A close source said: “Elen has been devastated by the end of the relationship with Frank. She is on the edge at the moment.

“At first she tried to block it out by going on shopping sprees. But she has got worse recently. We just hope she can get her life back on track.

“She is deeply traumatised but her friends are rallying round her and trying to lift her spirits.”
